The new Audi Q5

Ali & Sons Audi unveils new Audi Q5 and SQ5

ABU DHABI, October 12, 2017

Ali & Sons Audi, the official Audi dealer for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, has launched the second generation of the Audi Q5 and SQ5 across its showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

The new Q5 and SQ5 represent a significant update on their predecessors both inside and out with a number of new and improved features designed to cement them as segment leaders.

Mark Austin, general manager of Ali & Sons Audi, said: “The new Audi Q5 is a segment leading SUV that balances style, comfort and practicality. Its larger wheelbase makes it perfect for those looking for a luxury and stylish car with space for the family.”

With a frame crafted from premium steel and aluminium, the Q5 boasts the lightest body in its class with a striking singleframe grille and large optional air intakes.

Inside, the car’s longer wheel base gives the Q5 a larger luggage compartment than in previous models which, when coupled with the car’s flexible seating system, provides an even more spacious interior. Customers are also able to choose from a selection of 12 new colours and material options, including the S-line embossed leather seats, allowing for greater personalisation options than ever before.

With an all-new drivetrain, the mid-sized SUV’s automatic transmission features a fuel-saving freewheel function, which drivers can control through a selection lever or by shift paddles on the steering wheel. The new quattro drivetrain with ultra-technology disengages and re-engages the rear-axle drive whenever necessary, all without reducing traction. It also acquires and evaluates data such as the steering angle, transverse and longitudinal acceleration and engine torque in ten millisecond cycles.

The cars also come equipped with Audi’s leading edge automotive technology. As standard, the car features Audi’s MMI navigation plus with touchpad (MMI touch or MMI all-in-touch), providing the driver with intuitive and tactile control of all of the car’s systems, including navigation, media, and ride quality directly from the steering wheel. New features also include the Audi virtual cockpit which is optional for Q5 and standard for SQ5. The head up display feature also provides the driver with the ability to project key performance information onto the windshield for a seamless driving experience.

The Audi Q5 sports a 2.0 TFSI engine with 252 hp while the SQ5 is powered by a 3.0 TFSI engine with 354 hp. The new lightweight five-link adaptive suspension, lower centre of gravity, dynamic steering and handling system all contribute to greater control over the driving experience. Drivers are also in safe hands thanks to parking and driving assistance systems such as the cross traffic assist, rear and exit warning system.

Test drives can be booked at Ali & Sons showrooms in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain or via the website at audi-me.com. - TradeArabia News Service
