Al-Futtaim Motors launches 2017 Toyota SUV range

Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE, has announced the arrival of 2017 SUV models across its showrooms.

The models include the “Pride of the Land” Land Cruiser, legendary Land Cruiser Prado, FJ Cruiser, Fortuner, and RAV4.

“Aside from the additional standard safety features across the range of 2017 SUVs, including Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), the full range features more refined interior and exterior styling, and the same legendary performance that has defined Toyota SUVs for generations,” said Saud Abbasi, managing director of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors.

The rugged 2017 Land Cruiser features a host of exterior and interior upgrades, as well as a plethora of new safety features now coming as standard across the range (EXR, GXR and VXR), including Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) and Crawl Control as standard on all vehicles, and rear fog lights for increased driver and occupant safety.

The top of the range Land Cruiser VXR, available in 4.6L and 5.7L V8 engines, comes with hydraulic suspension, as well as advanced safety features such as Turn Assist Function, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, 360-degree camera and Lane Departure Alert. In addition, the vehicle benefits from an LED roof spoiler, front and rear spoilers, sequential indicators and a new Remote Engine Starter – Mobile App, allowing the driver to start their car remotely from their smart phones.

The VXR also comes with an all-new 10.1-inch Dual FHD Display Rear Seat Entertainment system (RSE) with integrated mood lighting control and wireless mirroring link connection, allowing effortless streaming of mobile devices onto either display, as well as SD, USB & HDMI inputs.

The 2017 Land Cruiser comes in four different grades: Safari, EXR, GXR and VXR, with prices ranging from Dh199,000 ($54,177) to Dh339,500 ($92,427).

Land Cruiser Prado: The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is an incredibly impressive vehicle that reflects its off-road heritage. A versatile interior and powerful four-wheel drive performance combine to make sure the Land Cruiser Prado is equipped to meet the needs of the modern driver.

Available in two engines, a 164HP 2.7-litre petrol unit and an impressive 4.0-litre VVT-i petrol V6 outputting 271 HP, both mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox, offering plenty of muscle for smooth on-road performance as well as rugged off-road driving.

The interior is crafted from premium materials that provide a sense of luxury and elegance to contrast with the rugged exterior, while three rows of seating provide ample space for seven people. Included amenities such as anti-theft system with engine immobilizer, steering wheel audio/telephone controls and 6 speakers are standard on the EXR, while the GXR also adds a centre navigation console with multiple inputs including Bluetooth, tri-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and dual front airbags with side and knee coverage.

The top of the range VXR includes all of the GXR amenities in addition to 8" Rear Seat Entertainment, remote engine starter, multi-stage ventilated front seats, sunroof, rear view camera, chrome radiator grille, leather seats and LED headlights with Daytime Running Lights (DRL).

The 2017 Land Cruiser Prado comes in three different grades: EXR, GXR and VXR, with prices ranging from Dh124,500 to Dh188,500.

Fortuner: Launched last year, the second generation of the highly popular Toyota Fortuner seven-seat SUV, benefits from a sleek exterior and interior styling, a host of safety features and the legendary off-road performance synonymous with Toyota SUVs.

Available in a 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine on the EXR, as well as the 4.0-litre V6 engine on the GXR and VXR variants, all 2017 Fortuner come with the aforementioned safety features as standard. The GXR also includes a leather and wood trimmed steering wheel, smart entry, automatic A/C with rear cooler and a 7-inch display console. The VXR model includes all of the GXR amenities in addition to a Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) system, power back door, paddle shifts, rear view camera, leather seats, and a new 9-inch navigation display with audio controls, 8-inch Rear Seat Entertainment system and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The 2017 Fortuner is available in three different grades: EXR, GXR and VXR, with prices ranging from Dh109,900 to Dh145,000.

RAV4: Keeping up with its larger brethren, the RAV4 adds a couple of new features to make it even better. Maintaining its stylish design, the exterior now includes sleek rear fog lamps across the range, while the interior of the VX and VXR models make use of a new 8-inch navigation and entertainment system.

The 2017 RAV4 is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 177hp and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission for a smooth and economical drive whether in the city, on the highway or on the road less travelled.

Options include smart entry, a powered back door, 8-inch Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) system, front and rear parking sensors, leather seats with powered driver’s seat, cruise control, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights and LED Headlights with LED accent lights.

A total of 10 exterior colours are available, in addition to five interior colours ranging from fabric to leather, depending on the grade.

The 2017 RAV4 offers four different grade choices: EX (4x2), VX (4x2), GXR (4x4) and VXR (4x4), with prices ranging from Dh87,900 to Dh127,500.

FJ Cruiser: Renowned for its ability to take on and conquer any terrain, the FJ Cruiser is not just built to take knocks, no matter how hard you play, but also designed to take whatever nature has in store.
With unique retro styling that reflects its attitude for adventure, sportiness and fun, the 2017 FJ Cruiser will be offered in the GXR model variant, driven by a powerful 4.0-litre V6 engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission with part-time 4x4 and Crawl Control (CC) for better off-road handling. For 2017, the FJ Cruiser comes with leather-trimmed steering wheel, two-tone leather seats and navigation with audio controls. A host of safety features are now all standard, as well as rear parking sensors with rear-view camera, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
