Ceiling mounted lights let people know if parking spaces are
available nearby

Bahrain’s City Centre car park goes hi-tech

MANAMA, June 8, 2015

New technology to help shoppers find available spaces at City Centre Bahrain's multi-storey car park has been installed.

LED lights on the ceiling turn red when there are no spaces nearby and green when there is a space free, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

A blue light indicates an available space for disabled parking.

The new system also helps people find their cars when they have finished shopping.

Cameras mounted on the sensors can read licence plate numbers and special touch screen machines installed near the mall entrance tell visitors who enter their licence plate number where they left their vehicle. - TradeArabia News Service
