UAE luxury car rental market sees 14pc growth

DUBAI, January 6, 2015

UAE’s luxury car rental market recorded a 14 per cent growth over the last year, according to HDS Rent A Car, a leading provider of bespoke, exotic car rentals in Dubai, UAE.

Largely driven by increasing levels of both business travel and tourism into Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s overall car rental market grew at an average annual rate of 10 per cent, it said.

Jonathan Bedpan, operations manager, HDS Group, said: “The premium car hire market in Dubai has been experiencing a return to pre-2009 levels of growth and is now starting to surpass that ‘pre-crash’ benchmark – much of the growth coming from high net worth individuals (HNWI) on either business or tourism stays.

“HDS Rent A Car has one of the most extensive and prestigious fleets of elite car marques; however, it is our unparalleled premium level service that has positioned us as a clear industry leader of niche vehicles and premium services.”

HDS-RAC’s luxury and super car fleet includes the BMW i8, Rolls Royce Phantom, Lamborghini Aventador and Gallardo, Aston Martin Rapide, Ferrari Spider 458, Bentley Continental GTC, Mercedes G63, and the Chevy Corvette. - TradeArabia News Service
