GM, Chevrolet recall two models in UAE

DUBAI, October 28, 2014

US-based automotive giants General Motors (GM) and Chevrolet have recalled two of their 2014 models in the UAE over fuel gauge snags, a report said.

The companies were quoted as saying that their Acadia and Traverse vehicles have "inconsistent fuel gauge calibration settings readings at both the high and low end of the gauge which may result in stalling while driving” in the Emirates 24/7 report.

“Dealers will programme the engine control module free of charge to correct the fuel gauge reading issues,” the company statement added.

The companies will contact the vehicle owners soon to arrange for the repair, the report said.
