Ewings, managing operator of the region’s first digital draw Emirates Loto, has announced the relaunch of its weekly live draw under the name “Mahzooz”, meaning ‘fortunate’ or ‘lucky’ in Arabic.

The announcement was made during a press conference held by Ewings at V Hotel in Business Bay, and was attended by the company’s executive management team, partners, and media.

The brand refresh is part of the company’s strategy to ensure that participants from all over the world can benefit from a dynamic and evolved customer journey, a brand new advanced and customer-friendly digital platform, and enhanced features providing all-round more seamless customer experience.

“With Emirates Loto’s transformation to Mahzooz, our ambition to change the lives of winners and the wider general public continues as we support causes in line with UAE initiatives to help communities and the nation as a whole” said Teresa Starr, Co-CEO of Ewings.

“Winners who are lucky enough to match six numbers will be able to claim a share of a minimum AED50 million ($13.6 million) grand prize. Winners who match five numbers will be able to claim a share of the second tier AED1 million prize, which might increase depending on how many players there are. Four numbers will earn a cash prize of AED1,000, and those who match three numbers will receive AED35,” added Starr.

“Our new platform is more seamless than ever before. We aim to ensure that Mahzooz will provide the best experience possible for every participant, and we remain inclusive to all, with the entry price still set at an affordable AED35,” added Samji.
