New Bahrain defence role for Shaikh Nasser

Bahrain's His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued a Royal Order appointing National Security Advisor Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa as the Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council (SDC).
HM the King also issued another Royal Order establishing the Strategic Security Bureau (SSB), affiliated with the Supreme Defence Council, said a Bahrain News Agency report.
The royal order stipulates that the Supreme Defence Council will set the SSB powers and structure.
HM the King has appointed Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa as SSB Chairman and Dr Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa as SDC Deputy Secretary-General, in addition to his current position.
