Saudi Military Industries Authority grants licences to 18 new firms

DUBAI, 18 days ago

Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) has announced that it has granted licences to 18 new companies to engage in the military industries sector in the kingdom.

This comes in line with GAMI's strategy to localise more than 50% of the kingdom’s spending on military equipment and services,, said a statement from the Authority.

The companies were able to obtain their licences through e-portal, developed by the Authority without the need to come to the headquarters.

With this approval, the number of national companies operating in the field of military industries which had been granted licence by GAMI, has risen to 38 with an expected investment volume of SR9.5 billion ($2.53 billion), it added.-TradeArabia News Service
