Quake hits Kuwait-Iran border

KUWAIT, March 22, 2015

An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit areas along Kuwait’s border with Iran at about 8am yesterday, the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research said.

Jolts were also experienced in some parts of Kuwait at 14:23 pm local time (11:23 GMT). However, there were no reports of casualties, stated Dr Abdullah Al-Enezi, the supervisor at Kuwait National Seismic Network.

The quake’s epicenter was five kilometers underground.
