Simmons & Simmons opens new office in Riyadh

RIYADH, October 20, 2014

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has expanded its alliance with Jeddah-based Hammad & Al-Mehdar in Saudi Arabia with the opening of a new office in Riyadh.

The official office opening was held today (October 20), with an exclusive event held at The British Ambassador’s Residence in Riyadh for clients and special guests, said a statement.

Andrew Wingfield, partner and regional head for Simmons & Simmons in the Middle East, said: “Saudi Arabia is a G20 member and the largest economy in the GCC. The development of this new office in Riyadh was naturally the next step in building on our alliance in the kingdom as many of the firm’s clients already have operations in Riyadh.

“Our opening event provided a good opportunity to celebrate this welcome addition to our offering in the Middle East through our alliance law firm, Hammad & Al-Mehdar. We are looking forward to developing opportunities for these clients further now that the office has officially opened.”

Dr Adli Hammad, managing and founding partner of Hammad & Al-Mehdar, said: “We are pleased to be opening the second of our offices in Saudi Arabia.

“This expansion in Riyadh builds upon the relationships that we have developed in Saudi Arabia and for international clients. The new office will add many more benefits in supporting our clients and their businesses in what is undoubtedly the main financial centre of Saudi Arabia.” - TradeArabia News Service
