Dream joy ride for children...a CSR initiative.

Mena Aerospace to launch dream flight initiative

MANAMA, October 20, 2014

Mena Aerospace has launched its latest corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme with a concept providing a day of dreams for the children of Al Sanabel Orphanage as well as Dream Kids in Bahrain.

The fun-filled event was developed by the 99’s and Mena Aerospace in association with Zain Bahrain, said a statement.

The Mena Aerospace initiative will bring together the aspirations of Dream Kids Bahrain as well as Al Sanabel Orphans Care Society, and will be conducted under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport on October 21, it said.

The ‘day of dreams’ will offer joy rides in a private jet provided by Zain Bahrain, for the children in two separate groups.

Each group from Dream Kids and Al Sanabel Orphanage will have a turn to go up for a spin in the air for thirty minutes.

Omar Matar, CEO of Mena Aerospace, said: “We have been thinking of a way to do something special for the community and the children and this day of dreams has been developed by us along with the 99s to combine our strengths with the visions of these different organisations.”

Dream Kids is dedicated to helping make dreams a reality for children, in Bahrain, who suffer from debilitating illnesses, while Al Sanabel Orphanage is a society in Bahrain that takes care of the holistic needs of orphans in the kingdom.

The event was pulled together through the dedication of several different teams. A prime mover was the 99’s who helped organise the event. This international organisation of women pilots promotes the advancement of aviation to women and girls. - TradeArabia News Service
