New Emirati themed restaurant opens

Abu Dhabi, March 12, 2014

Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) has officially opened the distinctive Al-Fanar restaurant and café which brings Emirati flavours to the new Venetian Village at The Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal.

Al-Fanar, themed by its principal Hashem Al Marzouqi, to provide fine dining in a nostalgic ambiance of the Emirates in days gone by, serves up authentic Emirati cuisine with the freshest of salads, fish, seafood and meats.

Complete with barasti outdoor booths, mud brick rooms and a mini souk, Al-Fanar brings the past into the present in its themed representation of an old UAE neighbourhood.

“The atmosphere is tremendous,” said Sheikh Sultan. “I want to congratulate Hashem on a restaurant and café which is already the talk of the Abu Dhabi community and will fast evolve into a tourist attraction.”

Al-Fanar seats 320 for lunch and dinner and is set to become a focal point of the Venetian Village, which is a stylish dining destination in a scenic, waterfront setting. – TradeArabia News Service
