RAK FTZ wins top communications award

The PR and media department of the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) has won the distinguished honoree medal in the Communications Department of the Year category at the 2011 International Business Awards (IBA).
RAK FTZ’s PR and media department received high scores in this category during the two months of preliminary judging and two weeks of final judging by an eminent international panel comprising close to 200 professionals.
Honorees were selected from more than 3,000 entries received from organisations and individuals across more than 40 nations.
“We are extremely proud of this prestigious recognition to our PR and media department,” said Oussama El Omari, CEO of RAK FTZ.

Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards, presenters of the IBAs, said: “Entries to The International Business Awards grew by more than 80 per cent this year, and that illustrates the increasing importance of the IBAs worldwide.”
