Bahrain Tourism gears up for grand New Year celebrations

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) is set to celebrate the New Year's Eve at The Avenues in capital Manama with a series of fun-filled exciting activities suitable for all ages and members of the family, culminating in a spectacular fireworks show.

For the first time, the Kingdom of Bahrain is set to celebrate New Year's Eve with a series of fun-filled exciting activities suitable for all ages and members in the family, which will include a spectacular fireworks show to name a few.

Organized by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), the celebration will be held at The Avenues - Bahrain on December 31 from 8pm onwards.

The celebration will kick off with a live performance by the fusion folk music of Majaz Musical Band, the entertainment follows with the ballet dancer performance on stilts ‘A Dancing of Color’, in addition to Live DJ and Drumming with Sonic Snares all the way from the United Kingdom that will be accompanied by mesmerizing light shows.

Spectators will also have the opportunity to enjoy the breath-taking musical aerial performance by the dancers and acrobats of SONIC.

Chiming in the New Year with style, the event will end with a giant projection of a countdown timer on the side facade of the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay hotel will usher in the midnight hour marking the beginning of 2020 with a dazzling fireworks show.

"It gives BTEA great pleasure to announce the exciting line-up of activities for this event, in that we are seeking to offer visitors and their families a unique and memorable experience in light of the sheer variety of events which includes a remarkable fireworks show," said its CEO Nader Al Moayyed.

"By selecting a diverse range of entertainment for this celebratory occasion, suitable for visitors of all ages, we aim to further attract visitors from the kingdom and neighbouring GCC countries, thereby further developing the local tourism sector and increasing the contribution of non-oil sectors to the national economy," he stated.

Head of Tourism Relations Reem Tawfiqi said: "We are delighted to host the New Year’s Eve celebrations accompanied by a grand display of fireworks alongside activities suitable for visitors of all ages.  It is with great honour that we invite all residents, citizens and tourists to join in the celebrations at this event for an unforgettable experience."

"In 2020, BTEA will continue to host more family-friendly events and entertainment shows in order to attract tourists in greater numbers, thereby further developing the kingdom’s tourism sector," stated Tawfiqi.

"Bahrain continues to strengthen its position as the ideal tourism destination and has achieved world-class status due it to its distinctive tourism offerings," she said.

"Hosting the event comes in line with the BTEA’s overall strategy, which aims at developing and strengthening the kingdom's tourism sector under the slogan of ‘Ours. Yours,’ and works towards contributing to the national economy and the 2030 Economic Vision," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
