Riyadh hosts popular PUBG Mobile Star Challenge World Cup

RIYADH, December 12, 2019

The popular global eSports event PUBG Mobile Star Challenge (PMSC) is back with the 2019 World Cup, being held in Saudi Arabia from December 12-14 as part of the Riyadh Season.

With SR1.25 million ($333,174) up for grabs, 32 teams from around the world –16 international and 16 from Mena – will compete for the golden helmet trophy and the title of champion.
 
The region’s most popular mobile game is expected to draw thousands of games enthusiasts from around the region. PUBG Mobile has taken the world by storm since its release in 2018 with more than 600 million downloads around globe. Its involvement in Riyadh Season is a clear sign that the burgeoning games ecosystem plays a crucial role in the future of entertainment in the region.
