Reggaeton star J Balvin to perform in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, September 1, 2019

Global reggaeton superstar J Balvin is performing at The Arena, Yas Island, on September 5 as part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, a seven-day entertainment festival organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).
“I want to go see the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque because I hear it’s an amazing place and something you have to see when you are in the UAE,” said the Colombian, who is now one of the top streaming artists in the world.

“I’ve also been told there’s an amazing display of works at the Louvre Abu Dhabi. There’s apparently a collection of gold funeral masks from various countries around the world, including some from Peru and other South American countries – they would be really cool to check out.”

As an active advocate of tolerance, diversity and unity, Balvin is on a mission to propel Latin music to unprecedented worldwide prominence. To ensure as many of the 200-plus nationalities residing in the UAE and more than 4,000 international visitors descending on the UAE capital for Abu Dhabi Showdown Week share his love of music, the man who has amassed more than 20 billion YouTube views is offering fans a 2-for-1 ticket promotion.

J Balvin will be support by Flipperachi & Daffy, the Arabian Gulf hip hop duo behind official Abu Dhabi Showdown Week song, on his Abu Dhabi debut.

For 2019, IMG will act as the local promoter for UFC 242 and Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, overseeing operations and production logistics for the whole seven-day experience. IMG is part of the Endeavor network alongside UFC. – TradeArabia News Service
