Eid holidays from June 3 for UAE private sector

ABU DHABI, May 26, 2019

The Eid Al Fitr holidays for the UAE's private sector will begin on Monday (June 3) until 3rd of Shawwal, with work to resume on 4th of Shawwal, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has announced.

This came in a circular issued by Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in implementation of the UAE cabinet's decision on setting private sector's official holidays, reported state news agency Wam.

Earlier, the govenment announced a seven-day official Eid Al Fitr holiday for the public sector, starting on Sunday, June 2, for one week, with work resuming on Sunday, June 9.

The minister conveyed heartfelt greetings to President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, HH  Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates on the occasion, wishing the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations continued happiness and prosperity, it added.
