ABU DHABI, February 27, 2019

Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) and The Walt Disney Company Middle East will expand their strategic partnership to incorporate a new daily Western block on ADM Channels.

The alliance grants ADM broadcast rights to Marvel Studios, Disney and Star Wars movies, and Marvel and ABC Studios series.

The agreement advances Abu Dhabi Media’s commitment and strategy to enhance audience brand loyalty and cater to viewers’ preferences and interests through diverse content, said a statement.

The block will include box-office movies and popular TV series, comprising Star Wars movies (including the complete Star Wars saga through, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Marvel Studios’ releases – including two exclusive viewing windows for Marvel Studios’ movies such as The Avengers, Thor and Captain America: Civil War - and exclusive airing of Marvel series such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and ABC series including Scandal, on ADM’s free-to-air channels.

The launch of the block will commence in March 2019 on Abu Dhabi TV (ADTV), with Marvel blockbuster movies and series, followed by popular Disney movies and the latest ABC series on Abu Dhabi Drama Channel.
