Indywood Film Carnival honours women entrepreneurs

HYDERABAD, December 24, 2018

Fifteen outstanding women entrepreneurs from the Middle East and India were honoured for their business ingenuity and contribution to the overall economic development of the country at the fourth edition of Indywood Film Carnival held recently in Hyderabad, India.

Through the Vanitha Ratna Awards, Indywood aims to promote excellence in entrepreneurship and innovation among women-owned businesses in all sectors across the world.

The awards were presented to Dr Alka Kalra, director of Eduscan Group; Bubbles Kandhari, director of Al Dobowi Group; Elsamma Joseph, managing director of Blue Rhine Group; Leena Parwani, entrepreneur, chairwoman of Icareinsure brokers DMCC and LPH Insurance Brokers; Cicily Johnson, director of First Flight Couriers (Middle East); Mini Sajan Varghese,  CEO of Saj Hotels & Resorts; Premi Mathew, founder of Protect your mom/hair for hope – India; Chitwan Malhotra, founder of World Health Forum; Monika Agarwal, CEO and director of Artin - Artistic interiors; Dr. Sowmiya Ramesh, director of D.G. Hospital, Bengaluru and founder and director - County Meat; Rehana Basheer, founder of Rehana Basheer Fashion Designing; Dr. Shikha Nehru Sharma, founder and managing director of Nutri-HealthSystems; Dr. Neelima Vemula, CEO of Yesmart Electronics; Manisha Kumar Chhabra, CEO of WOW Marketing and Kritika Rawat, co-founder of K Kompany.

The fourth edition of Indywood Film Carnival (IFC 2018), a flagship venture of $10 billion Project Indywood, aims to elevate Indian cinema to an international level.
