Bahrain gears up for ‘Cartoon Network Live! show

Tickets are selling like hot cakes for the much-anticipated Middle East premiere of the Cartoon Network Live! Heroes Unite stage show, which will run in Bahrain for four days over the Eid Al Adha holidays, from 23 to 26 August.
Priced at BD25 ($66), BD12, and BD6, these tickets are presently on sale at manama.platinumlist.net. It will also be sold at ticketing booths at the venue, the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, starting from tomorrow (August 19).
A 20 per cent discount is being given on family packs of five tickets. The one and a half hour shows start at 11am, 3.30pm and 7pm on all the four days.
The show is being presented by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), in association with Live Nation Middle East and Turner’s Cartoon Network.
BTEA Director of Marketing and Tourism Promotion Yousef Mohamed Al Khan said: "The countdown has started, and with the tickets moving quickly, we have added an extra option for families who want to purchase them at our physical ticket booths at the BIEC."
"Tickets are also still available online. We are looking forward to the show, which is making its Middle East debut in Bahrain, and is the first time that all the Cartoon Network heroes appear together live in one show," stated Al Khan.
"This interactive and spectacular stage production for fans young and old, promises high quality entertainment for the whole family," he noted.
The event will feature Cartoon Network’s most popular heroes from Ben 10, The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time and The Powerpuff Girls.
According to him, the production brings together an international, award-winning creative team to ensure a quality family entertainment stage show for audiences of all ages.
The show is directed by award-winning director and choreographer Bart Doerfler, known for his work on The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood, The Walt Disney Company, The Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, Holiday On Ice and Dreamworks. Besides Bart Doerfler, the creative team consists of Stephen Emmer (Musical Director), Cynthia Nordstrom (Costume Designer), David Smeets (Lighting Designer), Marinus de Graaf (Set Designer) and Michael Al-far (Video Content Designer).
"During the show, we will get to meet Kelvin Gizmo, scientist extraordinaire, who takes us into the world of Cartoon Network which is under threat of Zarr, the mean robot. We travel through the Land of Ooo, the city of Townsville, and Elmore and meet their famous inhabitants. With them, and the help of the audience, Kelvin Gizmo will hopefully be able to stop Zarr and his evil plans," noted Al Khan.
