Disney Live! coming soon to Bahrain

Disney Live! comes to Bahrain

MANAMA, February 3, 2016

For the first time in Bahrain, Mickey Mouse and his band of friends will be performing in a music mash-up of mega proportions when ‘Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival’ debuts in the kingdom next month.

Produced by Feld Entertainment in partnership with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, the theater show strives to be the biggest concert experience to hit live family entertainment.

Taking place at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre from March 15 to 19, concert goers will hear greatest hits from the blockbuster movies, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story.

The announcement was made at a press conference today at the Ritz Carlton, Bahrain by Sheikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, acting chief executive of the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority and Horacio Renna, vice president of Feld Entertainment Europe, Africa and Middle East – organisers of the show.

Commenting on this initiative, Shaikh Khaled said: “We are extremely pleased to have added this first-time event to our list of activities for 2016. Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival will most certainly add another dimension to the variety of exciting events planned for this year, further positioning the Kingdom as a leading hub for family entertainment.”

"It's always a pleasure to bring one of our productions to all the families wherever we go but in this particular case it is also an honour because we are adding another country to our international list. Bahrain expands the list to number 77”, said Renna.

During the briefing, Mickey and Minnie Mouse surprised the media with their first ever appearance in the kingdom.

Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival forms part of the calendar of events planned by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority to commemorate the country’s standing as Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016.

Shaikh Khaled said: "March was chosen for this event as it coincides with the Spring Break in Saudi Arabia and other countries as well."

"Our target is to serve locals, GCC countries and other neighbouring countries as well," he said.

Tickets for the show are now available at Virgin Stores in Bahrain City Centre. Tickets are priced at BD10 ($26.3), BD20 (#52.6), BD40 ($105.3) and BD 85 ($223.9). – TradeArabia News Service
