Expo mirrors Abu Dhabi beauty

ABU DHABI, November 23, 2015

Talal Al Dhiyebi, the chief development officer at Aldar, a leading UAE-based real estate developer, inaugurating the Maraya art exhibition at Yas Mall.

Presented by Aldar in collaboration with Greek visual artist Chronis Spanos, Maraya, meaning ‘Mirrors’ in Arabic, consists of 30 aesthetically striking and visually distinct portrayals of Abu Dhabi’s geometry of urban space.

The photographs were exhibited at Yas Mall’s Pearl Court, from November 19 to the 22, on the sidelines of Abu Dhabi Art 2015, one of the UAE capital’s most anticipated arts and cultural events.

The Maraya collection incorporates shots of six Aldar landmarks, including Yas Viceroy, Burj Mohammed Bin Rashid, Gate Towers, Yas Links, Yas Mall, and the iconic Aldar HQ.

On the exhibits, Aldar said Spanos has transformed the architectural axes, constructive details and angles into unique pieces of abstract art through the power of photography, subtly presenting an intriguing juxtaposition of modernity and tradition.

Seen through the artist’s lens it becomes clear that the creativity and innovation are exemplified by Aldar in its master developments, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
