Fortress Film Clinic lines-up mega productions

Fortress Film Clinic, a joint venture between a leading investment firm in the Middle East region Fortress Capital Investments and production company Film Clinic, has lined up mega productions set to herald a new era in the visual media production industry regionally.
 
Mohamed Hefzy, renowned producer and scriptwriter, and head of Fortress Film Clinic, said: "Fortress Film Clinic was launched to support local and Arab films and filmmakers to attain international standards in film productions and thus elevate the region's position as a global hub for film and TV productions.  
 
"Leveraging on Film Clinic solid foundation, our new productions are the first step in our contribution to a self-sustaining film industry, as part of our deep commitment to take the local film and television industry to the next level."
 
Unveiling the 2015 portfolio, Fortress Film Clinic listed a new film with working title: ‘Arab Idol’ by the Academy Award nominee Hany Abu-Assad, ‘Catch the Moon’ by Sameh Zoabi. 
 
Another third film on the line-up is 'Clash' by Mohamed Diab, which will be an Egyptian, French, UAE co-production.
 
The Fortress Film Clinic has also co-produced with Tarek El Ganainy's TVision, two TV series: ‘Al Ahd’ which was aired on MBC, ART and Al Nahar channel in Egypt and ‘Al Boyout Asrar’ which was exclusively aired on OSN during Ramadan and will run on other channels after Ramadan, said the statement.
 
 Both TV series have triggered overwhelming response and interest from audiences, he said.
 
"We aim to produce five to six films per year, targeting the international and regional markets, in addition, to producing high quality TV programming. Fortress Film Clinic is determined to identify and nurture young emerging talent, as well as actively support projects that thrill and entertain," said Hefzy.
