Expo 2020 Dubai has held the first industry exploratory session in partnership with DP World as part of the preparation to host the international event.

The session, conducted with over 30 stakeholders in the supply chain sector, was designed to explore industry trends, opportunities and potential areas of participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai, said a statement.

Reem Al Hashimy, UAE's Minister of State and director general of Dubai Expo 2020 Office, and her host, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, chairman of DP World, joined Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, vice chairman of DP World and moderator Ayesha Sultan, director of Corporate Strategy of DP World, in the first of what will be many sessions with diverse industries that will have an impact on the future of the region.

“Engaging with Dubai’s industry leaders and seeking their insights is key to the success of Expo 2020 Dubai. We are pleased DP World, one of our primary partners, is collaborating with us to create a platform for productive dialogue and we look forward to capturing learnings from other industries as we host additional sessions in the coming year in preparation for Expo 2020 Dubai,” said Al Hashimy.
