Dar Akhbar Al Khaleej wins global honour

Manama, May 6, 2014

Bahrain’s Dar Akhbar Al Khaleej Printing and Publishing House has won Silver in the Annual Report category at the eighth Dubai International Print Awards 2014.

Organised by the Printing and Publishing Group in association with Dubai Chamber under the patronage of Deputy Ruler of Dubai Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the awards are the largest event of their kind in the region and recognise innovation and excellence in the printing industry, with winners chosen from more than 700 submissions, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

Dar Akhbar Al Khaleej operations manager Samuel Paul collected the Silver award from Dubai Information Department director general Shaikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum.

It recognised the company's excellence in printing quality, innovation and excellence in the finishing and binding of the annual report for Trust International.

"The award not only recognises the hard work, but is also a reflection of the work culture at Dar Akhbar Al Khaleej," said Akhbar Al Khaleej chairman Anwar Abdulrahman.

"It raises the benchmark of the standards we set."

Dar Akhbar Al Khaleej was the only Press in Bahrain to land an award at the event.

"It's always great to win and this award is special for us," said group general manager P J James. "We feel honoured for having been chosen and this award puts more responsibility on us to keep striving to better our processes and finishes." – TradeArabia News Service
