Makkah Newspaper gets new editorial software

Makkah, February 5, 2014

Saudi-based Makkah Newspaper, formerly called Al Nadwa Newspaper, has implemented the NewsPress, an editorial and workflow software by Layout International.

The completed reconstruction and modernisation programme will enable the newspaper to automate the publishing cycle through advanced and organised workflow processes.

The editors, department heads, sub-editors, correctors, production teams, chief editors and designers will be able to log on to a single centralised server to process all their daily tasks.

NewsPress also comes with a range of modules including mobile apps and archiving solutions, which will help to reduce costs, eliminate mistakes and duplication, improve communication, add speed and ensure accuracy together with high performance.

Jean-Michel, general manager at Layout International, said: “We are delighted that Makkah has deployed NewsPress solution. Several years of research and development has made it an effective workflow solution in the market, able to connect different offices and more than 500 users into one platform for a collaborative work process.” - TradeArabia News Service
