
'Creative' top word in LinkedIn

"Creative" is the most overused buzzword in LinkedIn profiles globally and “motivated” is the word most overused in the UAE, the professional network said.
The network which claims to have more than 187 million members, including more than 1 million in the UAE, today released the most overused words and phrases in members’ LinkedIn Profiles for 2012.
The 10 terms that are most prevalent in the profiles of UAE based professionals are:
1. Motivated; 2. Effective; 3. Track record; 4. Interpersonal; 5. Creative; 6. Organizational; 7. Analytical; 8. Responsible; 9. Dynamic; and 10. Communication skills
“The UAE is home to a large base of high caliber professionals from all over the world. In this competitive environment, it is important for professionals to stand out and establish a credible identity online. One way to set yourself apart and increase your career opportunities is by avoiding these buzzwords in your LinkedIn profile,” said Ali Matar, head – LinkedIn Talent Solutions, Mena.
