Summit on key business insights for women

Beirut, September 13, 2012

Key insights into best practice methods that transform challenges and barriers into success stories and various opportunities for development for women will be offered at an upcoming conference in Beirut.

The Arab International Women’s Forum (AIWF) is hosting the summit “Young Arab Women Leaders-the voice of the future" at the Lebanese American University on September 20.

The conference is held in collaboration with Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC) and aims to assist young women leaders in understanding the role of gender in shaping political, economic and social opportunities available to women in the Arab world.

Wafaa Suleiman, First Lady of Lebanon shall be represented at the conference by Mona Afeish, former minister of state.

Haifa Al Fahoum Al Kaylani, founder chairman of AIWF said: “Over the last decade, AIWF has firmly believed that Arab governments must comprehensively adopt a sustainable development strategy focusing on the Arab world’s most precious asset – its people, and on promoting empowerment of women and youth, which will have a positive impact on their surroundings and on the society as a whole.”

“The conference in Beirut, through its prominent speakers and carefully planned content, will shed light on the vital role of young women leadership in achieving sustainable development and prosperity in Lebanon and the Arab world as a whole.”

This conference is the second in the program of conferences on Young Arab Women Leaders that the Arab International Women’s Forum planned for this year and it will include a diverse range of engaging topics and panel discussions.

The event will also serve as a platform for the generation of young aspiring women to support, engage and network with other women in pioneering political, economic and social leadership roles in the Arab world. – TradeArabia News Service
