Sharjah opens new park for labourers in industrial area
SHARJAH, September 20, 2021
Sharjah Directorate of Public Works has announced the opening of a new recreational labour park at Al Sajaa Industrial area of the northern emirate.
Spread over a 15,000-sq-m area, the park boasts two cricket pitches, two multi-purpose fields, walking paths, green spaces, security rooms, 10 administrative offices and 10 commercial offices, in addition to service rooms, it stated.
The park, which was completed in co-ordination with Sharjah Labour Standards Development Authority, will cater to more than 100,000 workers located in the industrial area.
In addition, mosques, shops, cafes, administrative offices for municipal services and security points are also being planned, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
