Infiniti Middle East reports positive sales

DUBAI, January 17, 2021

Infiniti, the Japanese premium car manufacturer, ended the year reporting strong sales figures in the Middle East for the brands premium crossover, QX50, and the full-size luxury SUV, QX80 despite the challenges of the pandemic throughout 2020.

The versatile premium crossover Infiniti QX50, which features the award winning world’s first production variable compression ratio engine remained resilient in the region despite the pandemic, boasting a 32% sales increase in the second half of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.

Endeavouring ever forward through the challenging market conditions of 2020, Infiniti Middle East welcomed the new 2021 Infiniti QX80 full-size luxury SUV in October, featuring the new generation Infiniti InTouch infotainment, Premium In-Vehicle-Infotainment (P-IVI) System featuring two HD display screens, 3D maps, Apple Car Play and Android Auto* capabilities, in addition to a new ‘Black Edition’ grade.

The QX80 posted a favourable 10% sales growth in Q3 2020 compared to the same period in 2019 retaining its popularity within the full-sized SUV segment.

"While we have not gone without our share of challenges this past year I can wholeheartedly say that we have weathered the trials of 2020 and look forward to the all-new product unveils and opportunities of 2021,” said Nasif Siddiqi, Managing Director, Infiniti International Markets.

“During the pandemic, we made significant efforts around ensuring our customers were able to engage with the brand in a safe and convenient way. We enhanced our digital sales solutions to car buyers and also introduced in-home test drives and home pick-up and drop-off for owner servicing. These measures were taken to maintain customer safety and adhere to strict hygiene measures. We believe these actions have helped us to lay a solid foundation as we move into the new year.”

In addition, Infiniti Middle East revolutionised the customer experience in the digital era during the second half of 2020 by launching the ‘showroom of the future’, the Infiniti Configurator, a virtual experience that brings the dealership to car buyers wherever they are using high quality, realistic visualisation and customisation content. -- Tradearabia News Service
