Danat, the Bahrain Institute of Pearls and Gemstones, has named Gulf Air as the official carrier of the CIBJO Congress 2019.

The congress is expected to gain interest in the field of jewellery and gemstones across the world. It will be held in Bahrain from November 18 to 20 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Bahrain.

The CEO of Danat Institute, Noora Jamsheer, gave tribute to Gulf Air’s sponsorship of the congress which aims to revive the industry of pearls and precious stones and jewellery. “This sponsorship provides us with an outstanding opportunity to enhance Bahrain's position in the jewellery industry to a large number of participants and position the kingdom as a key player in the global market," Jamsheer said.

“The event will showcase Bahrain's rich history in natural pearls and distinguished reputation in the field for seamlessly combining the arts and trade of pearls and jewellery, while highlighting its technical progress and promising visions for the future of the industry,” Jamsheer added.

The annual CIBJO congress will be attended by several leading jewellery manufacturers and traders from around the world and is expected to draw international interest in the field.
 
The main mission of the World Federation of Jewellery (CIBJO) is to protect the rights of consumers and the confidentiality of their activities. “CIBJO brings together national trade organisations from various countries with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the founders of the jewellery sector while taking into account the affairs of the sector at an international level,” Jamsheer explained.
