Urban Outfitters to open first Mideast store in Dubai

DUBAI, August 29, 2019

US-headquartered Urban Outfitters, a global lifestyle brand, will make its debut in the Middle East with its first venue set to launch at The Dubai Mall on September 5.

The 10,000-sq-m retail space will showcase an extensive product range spanning across four key categories: women’s fashion, men’s fashion, home, and lifestyle.

Urban Outfitters at The Dubai Mall will feature an array of global brands and a selection of niche and exclusive labels including the likes of BDG, ietsfrans, Champion, Fila, Urban Renewal and more.

The brand creates an experiential retail environment for its Middle Eastern audience through a well-curated mix of fashion and accessories that ranges from seasonal edits for a first-look into the latest trends, to intimates and swimwear, to a collection of hand-picked vintage clothing, a statement said.

Embracing the UO lifestyle, the brand’s new outlet will also feature a range of home and interior essentials including bedding, tapestries, rugs, art and décor, in addition to its music and entertainment collection that is a go-to destination for vinyl, books, instant and analogue cameras, tech accessories, games and gadgets.

A true embodiment of the UO culture, the store champions a youthful and original spirit through an authentic yet contemporary aesthetic. The raw, concrete-finished floor is complemented by high, exposed ceilings to create a modern-industrial atmosphere, accentuated by light wood and steel fixtures that flaunt clean lines and functional design. The storefront sets the scene with a lush green window display that celebrates the ‘UO Grow’ concept, with cascading planters providing a welcoming entrance.

Along with dedicated areas for each product category, the space is further divided into key seasonal trends and permanent collections to include - a ‘graphic tee house’ which showcases a variety of much-coveted printed t-shirts, an exclusive ‘BDG denim shop’ for the brand’s best-selling styles and an ‘Urban Renewal’ display of vintage and clothing that has been remade using recycled fabrics. – TradeArabia News Service
