Parliamentary elections set for Nov 22 in Bahrain

MANAMA, September 23, 2014

Bahrain's parliamentary elections will be held on November 22 and a second round, if needed, will be held on November 29.

His Majesty King Hamad issued a decree in this regard last night (September 22), said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Voters whose names appear on the electoral rolls can report to the poll committees and cast their ballots between 8am and 8pm.

Elections will be held at embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions abroad on November 18 and a second round, if needed, on November 25.

Nominations may be submitted from October 15 to 19 to the competent committees in different constituencies across the kingdom.

In another decree earlier, the King dissolved the Central Governorate.

New maps have been drawn up and the Central Governorate's nine constituencies have been divided among the other four governorates - Northern, Capital, Southern and Muharraq. - TradeArabia News Service
