Nine-day Eid holiday in UAE

Dubai, July 20, 2014

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government departments will be closed for nine days from this weekend for Eid holidays and regular weekend holidays.

Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal ministries and departments will start on July 27 and end on July 31 to resume work on August 3, said a Dubai Media Office statement on Twitter.

July 25 and 26 and August 1 and 2 will be regular weekend holidays.

Private sector holidays for Eid are yet to be announced.
