Dentons names two new partners in Qatar

Doha, May 11, 2014

Dentons, a leading international law firm, has added Zaher Nammour and Andy Jones to its partnership in Qatar.

Nammour has been appointed to the partnership while Jones, previously based in the firm's Milton Keynes office, has relocated to Doha.

Nammour has practised law in the Middle East for over thirteen years, including eleven years in Qatar. Fluent in both Arabic and English, Zaher has extensive experience in corporate joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, public offerings, private placements and the related regulatory framework.

Jones is construction specialist, with significant expertise in all forms of ADR, including mediation, adjudication and expert determination and with a wealth of experience in international arbitration. He has wide ranging experience from construction delay claims to rail and infrastructure projects and utility disputes.

Michael Kerr, managing partner for Dentons Middle East, said: "I would like to welcome Andy to the Middle East and congratulate Zaher on his promotion to partner. We are actively engaged in some of the region's most complex assignments, thanks to our long-standing commitment to the region and the exceptional talent of our lawyers, and our growth with Andy and Zaher will ensure this continues to be the case."

"Qatar presents significant opportunities in both corporate and construction, not least because of the upcoming 2022 World Cup. Dentons is one of the leading international law firms in Doha. Our continued commitment to Qatar is underlined by the addition of these two new partners and ensures that we will continue to provide our clients with a seamless service," added Safwan Moubaydeen, managing partner for Dentons Doha office.  – TradeArabia News Service
