Bahrain's women call for end to terror
Manama, March 22, 2014
Bahrain's women took to the streets yesterday demanding an end to terror. Hundreds of demonstrators - most of them women - held placards seeking protection and safety for officers as they confront rioters and vandals armed with weapons.
They walked from Riffa Views to the Awali Roundabout at around 3.30pm. The rally, called Citizens Shout 2, was organised by a group of women named "Grandchildren of Aysha" in co-ordination with Alfaza Group, which demanded an end to terrorist acts, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
