Kuwait's ruler swears in new cabinet

Kuwait, May 8, 2011

Kuwait's emir swore in a new cabinet on Sunday, privately owned Al-Rai television reported, after the previous government quit in March.

There was no immediate word on the composition of the new government. The previous cabinet quit to avoid the questioning by parliament of three ministers, all members of the ruling Al-Sabah family, amid calls for political and economic reform. - Reuters
