DLA Piper elects new board member

Kuwait City, August 9, 2009

Abdul Aziz Al-Yaqout, DLA Piper's recently appointed office managing partner for Kuwait, has been elected as a member of the International LLP Board.

The board position became available following Janet Legrand's election to senior partner, effective July 1, 2009.  The election to identify a new board member was held last month and Abdul Aziz was officially elected on July 29.

As an elected member of the International LLP Board Abdul Aziz will represent the interests of the wider partnership. He joins a board which is extremely representative of the partnership with existing elected members from across Europe - the UK, the Netherlands, Russia - and now the Middle East.

Abdul Aziz will serve as an elected member of the board for up to three years.-TradeArabia News Service
