PCCW, ATM Mobilis partner for digital solutions

HONG KONG, June 21, 2017

PCCW Global, a unit of HKT, a top telecom service provider in Hong Kong, has partnered with ATM Mobilis, a leading Algerian mobile telecom firm to enable the latter to offer customers access to PCCW Global’s international connectivity.

ATM Mobilis will also offer a portfolio of robust managed network solutions, managed security solutions and Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) offerings.

PCCW Global and ATM Mobilis entered into a high capacity IPX interconnect agreement in 2016. The agreement has now been extended to cover services beyond traditional voice, further enhancing their customers’ experience and realizing the full potential of this business relationship.

Additionally, PCCW Global and ATM Mobilis have now extended their combined MPLS network coverage to more North and West African markets. Their co-operation to establish a MPLS node in Algeria will help expand PCCW Global's global infrastructure into one of the North and West Africa’s key markets, whilst at the same time allowing ATM Mobilis to access PCCW Global's extensive worldwide network and deliver it to ATM Mobilis’ customers.

Through this collaboration, carriers and MNOs served by both companies will enjoy extended coverage while providing multinational users and customers with PCCW Global’s high-quality integrated services, seamless data roaming, mobile signalling, and advanced international connectivity solutions.

Ahmed Choudar, chief executive officer of ATM Mobilis, said: “We are very pleased to develop a strategic partnership with PCCW Global, considering this cooperation will create real value for our ICT business. The international MPLS "NNI" and the UCaaS services will enable us to support the digital transformation of the B2B market segment and create innovative services.”

ATM Mobilis launched its new brand “neTWin” on April 18 for the B2B solutions and services market. This new B2B value proposition included PCCW Global’s UCaaS offerings along with its managed network solutions and managed security solutions.

Sameh Sobhy, vice president of Mena, PCCW Global, said, “It has become critical for operators serving mid-market or large enterprise customers to provide global UCaaS as part of their service portfolio. Tapping into this next growth phase in cloud communications provides a significant revenue opportunity and is key to defending international customers from growing competition.” – TradeArabia News Service
