Ericsson appoints Johansson for key regional roles

RIYADH, May 31, 2017

Ericsson in Market Area Middle East and Africa has announced the appointment of Mathias Johansson as head of Global Customer Unit (GCU) STC and head of Ericsson Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Johansson is now a member of the market area’s leadership team and his new appointment is effective May 16, 2017.

Ericsson is a leading networking and telecommunications equipment and services company.

Johansson will be based in Saudi Arabia and he will be responsible for driving the company’s business in Egypt and Saudi Arabia markets in addition to driving the company’s business for STC Group within Ericsson.

Prior to assuming his current role, Johansson held a number of senior positions, spanning various markets, within Ericsson including Sweden, Taiwan and Ethiopia. His most recent appointment in the company was head of Ericsson East Africa where he was responsible for running Ericsson’s business within Ethiopia, Sudan and South Sudan.

Johansson holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from The Institute of Technology at Linköping University in Sweden. -TradeArabia News Service
