DUBAI, UAE , May 29, 2016

ESET, a global provider of proactive security software and protection products, has appointed a new Middle East general manager, who has been tasked with accelerating regional growth and adding value to in-market channel partners.

Dimitris Raekos will spearhead the firm’s Middle East sales, marketing and service delivery teams as they work to improve the company’s technical services, develop robust sales and deliver technical channel training.

“Following a number of years of steady year-on-year growth in the Middle East, ESET is consolidating its commitment to the region by appointing an industry leader who will take us to even greater heights,” said Neo Neophytou, managing director, ESET Middle East. “As the focal point of our regional team, Dimitris will provide our Middle East channel partners with diverse and innovative sales approaches focused on supporting ESET customers with a high-quality service.”

As part of his wide regional remit, Raekos will oversee ESET Middle East operations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Yemen, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Libya and Iran.

Raekos revealed that one of his key objectives was to create compelling new opportunities for resellers and distributors to enhance and redefine ESET’s channel programmes.

With over 15 years’ experience in the global IT security sector, Raekos has established strong leadership skills in channel sales and marketing in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to taking the helm of ESET’s Middle East operations, Raekos served as ESET’s sales and general manager in Greece and Cyprus for five years. –TradeArabia News Service
