Batelco partners with Al Nukhba for youth empowerment

MANAMA, March 13, 2015

Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) has partnered with Al Nukhba Youth Empowerment Programme to inspire young people, enhance its opportunities and promote career development.

The move is in line with Batelco’s Youth Marketing team’s commitment to educational initiatives to support a wide range of programmes, said a statement.

The Al Nukhba Programme is focused on fresh graduates and students in their final year of university.

To enter the programme, potential candidates must complete an online assessment and complete a video interview, with the top achievers being accepted into the programme.

The range of benefits their will receive will include a two-week professional skills development programme; coaching, mentoring and training in a variety of skills for corporate success; entrepreneur support awareness; media exposure through the programme’s documentary video; and career placement support.

Muna Al Hashemi, Batelco’s acting chief executive officer, said that Batelco is committed to supporting a range of youth initiatives and the Al Nukhba Programme, which is aimed at preparing university seniors and young graduates for life after university in the working world, fits perfectly with Batelco’s aspirations.

“Our role in the Al Nukhba programme serves as an extension of the many successful training programmes and work placement opportunities that Batelco has provided over many years for students,” she said.

“These students will be the workforce of the future with many of them likely holding key senior management roles in the years to come. We are therefore delighted to support a programme that boosts their employment opportunities and gets them off to a great start on the career ladder,” she added. - TradeArabia News Service
