Sans offers IT security training in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, February 4, 2015

The Sans Institute, a cooperative research and education organisation, will offer six days of cyber security training courses at an upcoming event in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The three popular courses for security professionals will have an emphasis on digital forensics and incident response, a statement said, adding that Sans Abu Dhabi 2015 will take place at the Hilton International from March 14 to 19.

FOR408: Windows Forensic Analysis led by Christian Prickaerts includes the latest Microsoft technologies and focuses on the critical digital forensics knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system. This includes collecting and analysing data from computer systems to track user-based activity that can be used in internal investigations or civil/criminal litigation.

The event also hosts Sans FOR508 Advanced Digital Forensics and Incident Response. Led by Jess Garcia, the course provides responders with the advanced skills needed to hunt down, counter, and recover from a wide range of threats within enterprise networks.

Students use a hands-on enterprise intrusion lab - developed from a real-world targeted APT attack on an enterprise network and based on how an APT group will target your network – to work through the challenges and solutions.

In addition, Ted Demopoulos will lead SEC501: Advanced Security Essentials - Enterprise Defender. This course goes beyond core policies and provides the technical in-depth skills and knowledge required to implement comprehensive security solutions.

Online registration is now open, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
