STME on track to post 64pc Mideast sales growth

DUBAI, November 10, 2014

STME, a leading solutions provider and systems integrator in the Middle East, is on track to post a 64 per cent sales growth this year compared with the previous year as demand for enterprise IT solutions in the region remains buoyant.

Ayman Al Bayaa, chief executive officer, said 2014 has been an impressive year for STME following the addition of private cloud solutions to their portfolio of offerings.

The company has also bucked the trend after it won huge contracts to provide business IT solutions to various telecommunications and oil and gas companies across the region, he said.

“We are proud of our accomplishments this year and we are confident that 2015 will see our sales performance treading the same growth path,” Al Bayaa said.

STME’s upbeat sales comes as renewed economic optimism in the region is set to further boost IT spending to around $243 billion by 2018, according to Gartner’s latest forecast.

For STME, sectors such as telecommunications, oil and gas, financial services industry and government have been crucial in lifting their sales figures to double-digit levels.

The firm continues to focus on its ‘Triple S’ strategy, comprising storage, security and system integration, said Al Bayya.

“We have been a market leader in computer data storage in the region since 1982. Currently, around 60 per cent of the region’s banks deal with us, in addition to 70 per cent of oil and gas companies and 55 per cent of telecommunications firms.”

STME is targeting niche segments such as end-point protection and integrated security solutions in the region.

In addition, the company has partnered with some of the world’s most recognised vendors to provide sophisticated and user-friendly systems integration solutions.

“We have been a major player in the Middle East ICT industry for over 30 years now. I believe our extensive service and product portfolio, dedication to innovation and high-quality customer service have served us well in responding to the ever-changing needs of our clients across the region.” Al Bayaa added. - TradeArabia News Service
