Avaya launches new innovative service at Gitex

DUBAI, October 12, 2014

Avaya, a global provider of communications and collaboration software and services, will launch Avaya SmartConnect, a combination of innovative technologies and services that deliver productivity, collaboration and networking solutions, at Gitex 2014, which will be opening today.

The new portfolio boasts solutions that include the world-leading Virtual Enterprise Network Architecture (Vena) Fabric Connect network, one-click mobile video, and a brand new Virtual Teller Machine end point, ready for government and financial services deployment.

With live on-stand demonstrations, and in partnership with Avaya’s strategic customers from the public and private sectors, visitors to Gitex Technology Week will experience the power of the only ready-for-deployment smart productivity, collaboration and networking solutions in the market. Because of Avaya’s leadership in creating simple and open standards environments, their customers and partners gain the freedom to choose and the flexibility to innovate, while protecting their investment with a strong long-term ROI.

Every visitor and exhibitor at Gitex this year will directly benefit from SmartConnect innovation as the advanced fabric-defined Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) network connects thousands of visitors and exhibitors across the 1 million sq ft facility. DWTC today boasts the smartest network infrastructure in the Middle East, and so this year every business at the region’s largest technology exhibition will ‘run on Avaya’.

Mohammed Areff, managing director, GCC, Avaya, said: “We look forward to the launch of Avaya SmartConnect, and our team – the most experienced in the market – is keen to engage with visitors and showcase its capabilities. Everything we have on the Avaya stand this year is live technology, with real time demonstrations showing how open, smart collaboration is possible for businesses of all sizes and governments across the Middle East and around the world.” – TradeArabia News Service
