Viva Bahrain to take part in Dubai telecom forum

MANAMA, September 22, 2014

Viva Bahrain, a leading telecom operator in the kingdom, is set to take part in the upcoming Telecoms World Middle East (TWME) 2014 where new strategies, innovation and partnerships are to be discussed.

The event is being held at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai on September 29 and 30, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

For the second consecutive year, Viva Bahrain will be part of the CXO's keynote panel discussion that will address topics on how OTT (over-the-top) services and mobile network operators (MNOs) can find common ground, the transformation of the wholesale business model and building digital services for future growth.

The panel will bring the senior management of leading operators together to discuss the untapped opportunities or innovation for OTT services and operators to leverage in the long-term.

Moreover, it will also look at assessing the need to transform the wholesale business model to transcend national boundaries and operate at a broader regional level.

The overall objective of this keynote panel is to discuss existing telecom business models and draw a roadmap for the future that takes into consideration partnerships with OTT players, a customer-centric business model and digital services for future growth.

"TWME presents a platform for telecom operators to collaborate and analyse best practices and future growth drivers that will help transform the business and accelerate revenue growth," Viva Bahrain chief executive Ulaiyan Al Wetaid said. - TradeArabia News Service
