Zain Bahrain distributes 20,000 school bags

MANAMA, September 4, 2014

Zain Bahrain has distributed 20,000 school bags as part of a major campaign.

The handover ceremony for the Back to School project was held under the patronage of Royal Charity Organisation chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the Rafea Gubash Hall in Princess Al Jawhara Centre for Molecular Medicine, Genetics and Inherited Disorders, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

It was attended by RCO human resources manager Mohammed Al Awadhi, non-government organisations and representatives of various charity organisations, who will distribute the bags across educational institutions in Bahrain.

The project was launched in 2004 and so far, a total of 200,000 school bags and kits have been distributed to students.

This year, Zain Bahrain has purchased 'eco-friendly' school supplies as part of its 'Go Green' approach. - TradeArabia News Service
