Viva Bahrain launches key 4G broadband service

Manama, July 24, 2014

Viva Bahrain has launched a new service for 4G broadband data users to calculate their usage based on monthly Internet consumption.

The telecom firm said this will enable users to choose the right broadband plan, reported the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Customers need to factor in daily access to email accounts, time spent streaming music/videos, surfing the web, uploading social media posts, downloading apps, songs, videos and more.

The launch of the service follows the introduction of a new range of broadband plans with 100pc additional data along with free LTE access, free unlimited 4G home-to-Viva calls service with a home line number from Viva starting with 131xxxxx, free LTE routers and other LTE broadband devices together with free sharing SIMs on select packages.

New broadband plans on an 18-month contract start at BD7 ($18) with data allowance of 10GB (100 per cent additional broadband usage) and free voice calls. - TradeArabia News Service
