Smartworld unveils development roadmap

Smart Gathering 2014 was held at the JW Marquis Hotel under the theme, ‘Enabling Digital Economic Growth’. At the event, Mohamed Fouz, CEO, Smartworld, detailed the company’s vision and mission, the new structure, growth aspirations and strategic goals for the next four years.

Fouz also shared how Smartworld is focusing on being a key digital economy enabler for businesses in UAE and the Middle East. Participation in the digital economy is, for an increasing number of businesses, becoming a matter of economic necessity, he said.

Most businesses now realize that to remain competitive and to conduct business efficiently, they must adopt electronic means for business processes. Under the new Smartworld strategy, the company is placing strong focus on leveraging its skills and abilities to drive in digital economic growth for its clients across the Gulf, Middle East and African regions, said Fouz.

“UAE has started to embark on a move to build robust infrastructure in preparation for Expo 2020--a vision inspired by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,” said Fouz.

“In line with this, we remain steadfast in achieving our vision to plan, implement and operate technologies that support digital transformation and enable smart solutions, which will successfully result in a digitally competitive Gulf, Middle-East and Africa,” he added.

“Over the last couple of years, we have successfully implemented many key projects across both the private and public sectors in the UAE,” Fouz continued.

“These projects were successfully completed by a team of professionals and highly skilled employees who ensure our valued clients receive the very highest standards of service at all times. As we prepare to move forward, we are confident that our new strategic roadmap will take Smartworld towards more growth and development in the next four years.

“We remain upbeat in implementing these new strategies and achieving the various objectives that we have set for all our departments--guided by the ultimate aim of positioning us in the forefront of digital economy in the region,” concluded Fouz.
