Bahrain TRA inks service deal with Silah

Manama, January 9, 2014

Bahrain’s Tele-communications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has signed a two-year contract with Silah Gulf, a customer service solution provider.

Under the contract, Silah will provide response services to inquiries and complaints related to telecommunications services and providers, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

TRA director of finance and human resources Faisal bin Ali Aljalahma and Silah Gulf chief executive Ricardo Langwieder-Gorner signed the contract in the presence of TRA's acting director of consumer affairs and media Taiba Albinali, consumer affairs manager Abdulelah Abdulla, Silah Gulf's accounts and projects director Abdulrahman Nabeel Benshams and operations general manager Nada AlGassab.

"One of our top priorities is to promote and implement communication channels between us and consumers as we seek to ensure the provision of better services," Aljalahma said.

"This is a translation of our objectives aimed at improving the level of services provided to the public, such as responding to inquiries and resolving various complaints," he added.

Silah Gulf was launched in 2009 as a joint venture in the Middle East region by UK-based Merchants and Bahrain's eGovernment Authority and has operations in Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE. The chairman of the company is eGovernment Authority chief executive Mohammad Al Qaed. – TradeArabia News Service
